Hangar Hotel (155 Airport Rd) is a 1940s WWII-aviation-themed hotel built to resemble a period hangar next to Gillespie County Airport, with an on-site diner — worth noting it sits about 3 miles from downtown, at the edge of or possibly just outside Fredericksburg's tight ~9.25-square-mile city limits, so it's a drive rather than a walk from Main Street despite universal "Fredericksburg" marketing. Peach Tree Inn & Suites (401 S. Washington St) is an affordable, family-owned motel near Main Street — some booking sites mislabel it as a bed-and-breakfast, which the property's own site doesn't claim.

A Naming Mix-Up Worth Knowing

Sunday House Inn & Suites (501 E. Main St) is an independent downtown Fredericksburg hotel. It is a completely different property from the Best Western Sunday House Inn, which is located in Kerrville, Texas, about 24 miles away — an easy booking mistake given the nearly identical name.
