Where to Stay in Bend

Bend's largest riverfront resort wasn't in the original lodging list at all — it turned up as the hotel behind a restaurant's mismatched scrape description. Eight verified properties, and one excluded for being 15 miles away.

Introduction

Bend's lodging ranges from a large riverfront resort to straightforward budget chains. We checked eight properties below with verified check-in/check-out times and pet policies — one additional candidate turned out to be in a genuinely separate community and is excluded for that reason.

Riverhouse Lodge

Worth highlighting first since it wasn't in the original research list at all — it turned up while verifying a restaurant whose scrape description ("refined riverfront business hotel") had clearly been mismatched from a hotel listing. Riverhouse Lodge is Bend's largest riverfront resort, with roughly 220 rooms spanning both banks of the Deschutes River connected by a covered bridge, renovated in 2024, with indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, direct access to the Deschutes River Trail, and its own restaurant, Currents.

A full-service Hilton in the Old Mill District near the Deschutes River, with a pool — a solid mid-range base for exploring the district's shops and restaurants.

*Check-in:

  • 3:00 PM (to midnight) | *Check-out:

  • 12:00 PM (noon)

*Pet Policy:

  • Dogs and cats. 1 pet up to 75 lbs: $75 (1-4 nights) / $150 (5+ nights). 2 pets: $125 (1-4 nights) / $250 (5+ nights). Grassy pet-relief area on property.

Wall Street Suites

A boutique, independently and locally owned 17-unit motel a few blocks from downtown, with private king suites featuring full kitchens and a dog park. The building started life as the 1950s-era Plaza Motel before a 2012 renovation by four local partners.

*Check-in:

  • Roughly 4:00 PM (front desk staffed 8 AM–9 PM; call ahead if arriving later) | *Check-out:

  • 11:00 AM

*Pet Policy:

  • Dog-friendly (welcome kit with bed, bowls, treats; on-site off-leash dog park). Exact current fee schedule not confirmed on the operator's own site — call to verify before booking.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Bend

A casual all-suite hotel near the Old Mill District with an indoor pool and gym, paired with an adjacent Residence Inn in the same complex.

A no-frills budget property in north Bend with breakfast and a pool.

*Check-in:

  • 4:00 PM | *Check-out:

  • 11:00 AM

*Pet Policy:

  • Conflicting information — the official brand site states pets are not accepted (service animals excepted), while third-party aggregators describe it as pet-friendly. Call the property directly to confirm before assuming either way.

Quality Inn Bend North

A budget chain motel in north Bend with free breakfast and a pool, directly across the street from Best Western Bend North.

  • 3:00 PM (window through 3:00 AM) | *Check-out:

A Property We Excluded

Sunriver Resort is a real, well-regarded property — but it's located in Sunriver, Oregon, a separate unincorporated community about 15 miles south of Bend, not in Bend itself. It's excluded from this guide for that reason, consistent with how this site treats genuinely out-of-town properties elsewhere.

Practical Tips

  • Riverhouse Lodge and Hilton Garden Inn Bend are the two strongest options if riverfront or Old Mill District proximity matters most.

  • Wall Street Suites is the pick for a smaller, independently owned property with real local character.

  • Best Western Bend North's pet policy is genuinely unresolved between the official site and OTAs — don't assume either way without calling.

  • Best Western Bend North and Quality Inn Bend North are the straightforward budget options, both in the same north Bend stretch.

Sources and Verification Notes

Each property's check-in/check-out times, pet policies, and history were verified against official sites and cross-checked against Yelp, TripAdvisor, or BringFido. Riverhouse Lodge's identity was uncovered while verifying a restaurant listing and independently confirmed as a real, standalone hotel. Several properties (Riverhouse checkout time, Wall Street Suites' and Home2 Suites' pet fees, Best Western's pet policy) showed conflicts between official and third-party sources — flagged for a confirming call before publication. Sunriver Resort's location in a separate community was independently confirmed before being excluded.
