Jackson's cafe scene runs from a decades-old bagel institution to newer local roasters. We checked six below, all confirmed currently operating — and specifically flagged one address where an older, now-closed business could easily be confused with its current occupant.

Persephone Bakery

A French-leaning bakery-cafe in a historic downtown cabin, known for hand-crafted pastries and rustic breads made with old-world fermentation techniques, sourcing from more than 20 regional farms and ranches. It has drawn national press attention from outlets including Food & Wine and The New York Times, and feeds its sister cafe, Picnic, with daily pastries. Pearl Street Bagels

A longtime Jackson institution serving fresh bagels daily, open early — a classic pre-ski or pre-hike stop, part of a small regional chain rather than a national brand.

• Sources disagree slightly — the official site lists the Cache Street location as open daily 6am-6pm, while independent listings show 6am-5pm. A separate drive-thru location (1007 S Hwy 89) is open daily 6am-2pm.

Snake River Roasting Company

A local roaster on the Town Square. Worth noting: this address was previously home to Jackson Hole Roasters, a different business that has since closed — don't confuse the two if you come across older references.

The Bunnery Bakery & Restaurant

Operating since 1975, one of the oldest continuously running bakeries in town, just north of the Town Square. Known for its trademarked oats-sunflower-millet granola and pancake mix.

• Long lines are near-universal at peak breakfast hours (roughly 8:30-10:30am), but move quickly — arriving right at opening is the practical workaround.

• Cowboy Coffee Co.'s Teton Village location is currently closed — don't plan around it as a convenient stop near the ski resort.

• Double-check any source calling the Town Square roastery address "Jackson Hole Roasters" — that business has closed and Snake River Roasting Company now occupies the space.
