Biltmore Estate

1 Lodge St, Asheville, NC 28803

America's largest privately owned house, built by George Vanderbilt and opened in 1895, still privately operated as a for-profit business by his descendants. The estate itself was largely undamaged by Hurricane Helene and reopened in November 2024.
