On the Plaza

Hotel Healdsburg (behind the Plaza) is the founding property of local hospitality group Piazza Hospitality, opened in 2001, known for chef Charlie Palmer's Dry Creek Kitchen restaurant, a spa, and gardens. h2hotel, its sister property about a block away, is a LEED Gold-certified eco-boutique hotel with a solar-heated pool. Harmon Guest House, also nearby, is a Design Hotels-affiliated property known for the only public rooftop bar in town.

A Frequently Renamed Luxury Property

Liora Estate (27 North St), directly on the Plaza, is a 16-room luxury boutique hotel — but worth knowing its name has changed twice in under a year. It opened in 2005 as Hotel Les Mars, was acquired by Foley Entertainment Group in 2010, rebranded to "27 North" in mid-2025, then rebranded again to Liora Estate in April

2026. Given that pace of change, confirm the current name before booking.

Just Outside the Plaza Core

Appellation Healdsburg (101 Dovetail Lane), a new culinary-focused resort that opened in September 2025, sits about a mile from the Plaza in the town's North Village — within Healdsburg but not walkable to downtown. Dry Creek Inn, now operating under Sonesta's MOD Collection soft brand after converting from Best Western in December 2025, is a mid-range, more affordable option about a mile from the Plaza. Camellia Inn (211 North St), a nine-room Victorian bed-and-breakfast about a block and a half from the Plaza, is a solid affordable pick within easy walking distance of downtown.

Vineyard Countryside, Not Downtown

Montage Healdsburg, a large luxury resort on a 258-acre vineyard estate, is consistently described by independent sources as sitting just north of town, roughly 10 minutes from downtown — a genuine vineyard-estate property rather than a Plaza-adjacent hotel, despite its Healdsburg address. It's a strong pick if a countryside resort is what you want, just not one to book expecting a walk to the Plaza.

A Property No Longer Taking Travel Bookings

Honor Mansion, a well-known former luxury bed-and-breakfast, no longer operates as guest lodging — it was converted into a state-licensed residential treatment facility after a local zoning dispute. It still appears on some outdated listing sites; it should not be booked as a hotel.
