The Perfect 24 Hours in Toronto

If you only have one day in Toronto, you should focus on the downtown core to minimize travel times. This hourly schedule is optimized using the TTC subway to avoid traffic.


Hourly Schedule

8:30 AM – Breakfast at St. Lawrence Market

Start your morning at the historic South Market. Grab a famous *Peameal Bacon Sandwich

  • from Carousel Bakery or a fresh bagel.
  • Transit: Walk 10 minutes east from Union Station.

10:00 AM – Ripley's Aquarium or CN Tower

Walk west along Front Street to the CN Tower/Ripley's plaza. Go up the CN Tower for morning skyline views or walk through the moving shark tunnel at Ripley's.

12:30 PM – Lunch in Kensington Market & Queen West

Take the 510 Spadina Streetcar north to Dundas Street West and walk into Kensington Market. Grab empanadas, tacos, or banh mi, and browse the vintage shops.

2:30 PM – Royal Ontario Museum (ROM)

Walk north to Bloor Street or take the subway to Museum Station. Explore the world-class galleries of art and history.

  • Transit: Subway Line 1 from Queens Park to Museum Station.

6:00 PM – Dinner in the Distillery Historic District
